Female Masturbation, Fetishes and the Orgasmic Lifestyle with Venus O’Hara, Orgasm Activist

In this episode of Intimacy Play, Mikaela is joined by Venus O’Hara, Orgasm Activist to discuss female masturbation, fetishes and how Venus is changing the world, one orgasm at a time.

Learn more about Venus:

Trust > mystery

Venus shares how she finds trust sexier than mystery. She isn’t into the whole “tinder hookup thing” and would much rather invest time into building more intimate relationships with a partner or partners to achieve greater sexual pleasure. Venus believes that the better you know your partner, the better the sex can be: “trust is the sexiest thing”.

Different types of fetishes

Venus shares that fetishes can take on a variety of different forms… for example some people have a baloon fetish, and meet up and blow up bloons together, waiting for them to pop.

More popular fetishes include:

  • Latex
  • High heels
  • Leather
  • Feet
  • Tickling

Venus then goes on to share that if one person within a relationship has a fetish but the other doesn’t, then the person that does should just casually try to incorporate their fetish subtly and with flattery. For example: “I think you would look incredible in this lingerie”.

Testing sex toys for a living

Venus is sent sex toys for her to test, now works as Satifyer’s ambassador in Spain, and is helping them with product development. Venus is a self confessed orgasm activist, which Venus states is the best job in the world… but it definitely is a job.

Venus believes there is a genuine need for this job… we make so many massive decisions in our lives related to sexuality but then don’t talk openly about things such as: orgasms.

Venus’s #1 sex toy of 2020

Venus shares that her favourite sex toy of 2020 is the Satisfyer App Enabled Curvy 3+ Pink Waterproof Clitoral Stimulator. She states that it is insanely good and the use of the mobile app can be very fun.

Mikaela also echoes this opinion, stating that she highly recommends the product.

Gender neutral sex toys

The majority of male sex toys used to just be dolls, but now this is no longer the case as there are many more available for men. Venus does share that the female sex toy market is and will remain larger as men typically work out how to orgasm by the age of 16.

Venus also shares that more and more sex toys are becoming gender liberal, for example, Satifyer has a toy that can be used in 16 different ways on both female and male bodies.

How to have an orgasm

First off, don’t aim for orgasm, aim for pleasure. Set up an environment in which you feel relaxed, maybe have a bath or put on some candles.

Then select a toy that can help stimulate you, and just relax whilst using the toy for 15 minutes. If it doesn’t happen during that time for a number of days don’t worry. It will come one day when you are simply aiming for pleasure.

Erotic homework can also help, for example reading erotic novels, watching documentaries or films.
